‘Say It How You Feel It’ — Yemi Alade [Video]

Nigerian singer Yemi Alade is of the opinion that speaking one's mind is the best way to go.

Speaking in a recent interview, the 33-year-old singer urged her listeners not to keep their opinion to themselves because people cannot read each other's thoughts.

According to her, one of the advantages of speaking out is that it gives the person listening to help correct, affirm or discard the thought.

Yemi further opined that it can also help to cut off those that are not needed.

“Anywhere you are, do not look back. Just say it as you feel it,” she said.

“Don't say it like you want to get into a fight. No. But don't keep your opinion to yourself.

“Just say it, so that at least the person listening can help you correct it, affirm it or help you discard that thought.

“Cause some thoughts are very bad. And some thoughts need to be heard because we can't read each other's minds.

“So I will tell myself; say what you are thinking so the person you are in a situation with will be able to better whatever thoughts you have.

“Or, it will help you to cut off those that need to not be in your life.”
