Scores Kidnapped As Gunmen Attack Greenfield University Kadu

Unknown gunmen have attacked Greenfield University in Kaduna State.

The attack was carried out on Tuesday night when the gunmen invaded the varsity premises and whisked away scores of students.

The Senator who represented the Kaduna Central during the 8th National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani confirmed the incident on his verified Twitter handle.

“The fresh report that Bandits have attacked and kidnapped many students at the Greenfield University along Kaduna-Abuja road is yet another tragedy.

“Proprietors of schools within this axis need to read the signs. Even most of us have abandoned our farms to the care of God,” he said.

The spokesman of the police command, ASP Muhammad Jalige, who confirmed the incident, noted that they are yet to get the exact number of students that had been abducted.

Jalige further stated that a row call was being taken to ascertain the identity and number of the students abducted.

He added that the police and the military moved to the school immediately after they got wind of the attack, adding that unfortunately, some students had already been abducted.
