Zamfara State Police Command has rescued 24 kidnapped victims in Shinkafi and Tsafe Local Government.
Ayuba Elkana, the state police commissioner disclosed this during a press briefing. He declared that four of the victims are secondary school students who were abducted while writing their WAEC examination in Shinkafi area, and another a student of Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda. He added that the victims spent 60 days in captivity.
Also, on November 22, 2021, two golf vehicles with passengers from Kano to Sokoto were blocked by bandits who abducted all the passengers.
The Police Tactical Operatives embarked on the rescue operation and fortunately rescued eleven of the passengers.
