A young European, Truls Aandal, has taken to his social media page to beg Nigerians to teach him the Nigerian slang.

Aandal, a 22-year-old Norwegian, is a professional video game player. He currently plays for Esports team eRa Eternity. In addition to playing video games professionally, he also co-founded media & marketing agency 8600 Media in December 2019. Truls Aandal is popularly known as 'Ttrulss', 'The Founder' and 'eRa Truls', reports Crunchbase.

Aanda wrote on his Twitter page, begging to understand Nigerians slang. He wrote his plea in Nigerian English, “Naija abeg teach me your slang.”

Some Nigerians in their responses explained the diverse meaning, pronunciation, tone and mood in understanding Nigerian slangs.

Most of the responses were written in pidgin, by extension, Nigerian English.

A Nigerian Twitter user identified with the handle as @its_agapelove explained the seven meanings of “How far” in the Nigerian context.

According to him, “How far=how are you; How far=where is the money; How far=have you reached; How far=are you done; How far=where are you now; How far=will u still come; How far=have you bought it”

He explained that “How far doesn't mean distance even though that's what it implies literally.”
