Some prominent Nigerians participated in the June 12 protest which took place in Lagos on Saturday, expressing displeasure with the present administration over the prevalent issues of insecurity, ailing economy, and others.
Celebrities like Mr. Macaroni, Small Doctor, Tiwa Savage, and Toke Makinwa took to the streets to show solidarity with their fellow citizens in an act of defiance and bravery.
Small Doctor showed up at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos to join his brothers and sisters in the protest against the Buhari administration. He did the same thing last year during the #EndSars protests, taking his protest to his church too.

As for Mr. Macaroni, his participation shouldn't come as a surprise given how vocal he has been about his dissatisfaction with the federal government. Despite being arrested and detained the last time he protested, the actor and comedian made it to the protest ground, and said the following words:
"I always say this country has what it needs at its disposal to be one of the top countries in the world. But we are here today because of corruption, we are here today because of nepotism.

"Look at the level of insecurity we have been dealing with since this administration came in till now. When Nigerians speak, the government is always quick to say we are fighting them. We don't have their guns, we have our voice but they want to take that away from us."
Popular OAP Toke Makinwa and award-winning singer Tiwa Savage also joined protesters yesterday who had vowed to take to the streets despite the warnings from authorities.
Some of the protesters were arrested while others were dispersed by the police who used teargas on them.
