See Why Don Jazzy Likened Asake To Lil Wayne [Video]

Music producer Don Jazzy has given buzzing YBNL linchpin Asake his accolades, likening the 'Sungba' crooner to American rapper Lil Wayne.

DJ Big N had asked the Mavins Record boss to mention one experience that had blown his mind over the last week and his response had been ‘Ololade Mi Asake’, to which DJ Big N had agreed.

Don Jazzy mentioned that Asake is a rare artist who the entertainment industry doesn't get all the time but will leave their marks when they come.

“Ololade mi Asake. So I feel like Ololade mi Asake is such a brilliant artist. He is an all-rounder.

"He is one of those artists that we don't get all the time but when they come you just know that a star has been born.”

Don Jazzy also narrated his experience watching Asake perform 'Baba God' on Glitch Africa’s live sessions, likening his appearance to Lil Wayne.

“There was a video that I watched on YouTube. I don't know if it is Clout TV or Glitch.

"He was performing an acoustic version of 'Baba God'. I said 'ah this boy has all the elements.

“I've heard Trabaye, Sungba and Omo Ope. When I saw this one, I was like 'wow'. And he can sing, this is him being mellow.

"If you look at the camera angle, the camera angle came from behind him and I looked at him like 'ah, Lil Wayne is born. I think he is so dope.”
