Senator Gyang
Senator I. D. Gyang of Plateau North was at Kerang in Mangu Local Government Area to commiserate with the Mwaghavul nation over the demise of their paramount ruler, the Miskhaham Mwaghavul, His Royal Highness Da Nelson Bakr.
Senator Gyang was in the company of Members from the National Assembly, Honourable Solomon Bulus Maren and Dachung Bagos on the condolence visit.
The Senator extolled the legacies of the late royal father as a promoter of peace, one who sought the good and advancement of not only his people but the entire state. He condoled with the Mwaghavul nation, Mangu LGA and the State Council of Chiefs and Emirs.
The Senator said the traditional institution has been playing a stabilising and unifying role which was why the National Assembly is considering a constitutional role for them in the ongoing Constitution review exercise.
On hand to receive the Senator was the Deputy Governor of Plateau state Prof. Sonny Tyoden, Sum Pyam His Royal Highness Charles Mato Dakota who was released from the den of Kidnappers shortly before the visit and the Chairman Mangu Local Government Council.
