Former Atlético Madrid, Inter Milan, Torino, and AS Roma player Joaquin Peiró has died at the age of 84 after years of struggling with health problems.
Allnews reports that he was capped 12 times over a period of ten years by the Spanish national team.
The midfielder cemented his place in Nerazzurri history by scoring against Liverpool in the European Cup semi-final in 1965.
He spent a good chunk of his career in Italy, joining Torino in 1962, moving to Inter two years later and then Roma from 1966-70.

Peiró returned to Atletico Madrid for one more season before retiring in 1971.

Thereafter, he had a coaching career with the likes of Atletico Madrid, Granada, Malaga, and Real Murcia.
