Serie A: Juventus Roar Back To Seventh Against Torino In Six

Danilo Celebrates Goal

In a scintillating match at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday, Juventus defeated local rivals Torino 4-2 to continue their winning streak in Serie A.

The win also keeps alive their hopes of finishing in the top four, despite the 15 points deducted by the Italian soccer court investigating the club's transfer dealings.

Juventus, under the guidance of Massimiliano Allegri, extended their league-winning streak to four matches, with seven wins in their last ten games.

They currently sit in seventh place in the league with 35 points, six points behind Atalanta in sixth, the last place that gives European football next season, and 10 points off fourth.

Despite the odds being against them, Juventus put in a great performance against a difficult team to break down, with Gleison Bremer scoring the crucial goal in the 71st minute to put them ahead.

Adrien Rabiot then wrapped up the win 10 minutes later with a bundled set piece into the box.

The crowd at the Allianz Stadium were treated to a thrilling match, with Torino scoring the fastest Serie A goal ever in Turin's 'Derby della Mole' after just 92 seconds through Yann Karamoh.

Juventus equalized after 16 minutes through Juan Cuadrado, before a flurry of activity in the final minutes of the first half saw Antonia Sanabria score for Torino in the 43rd minute, followed by Danilo's equalizer in stoppage time.

The second half started at the same intensity, with Dusan Vlahovic thumping the crossbar from inside the box just four minutes in.

Karol Linetty came close to putting Torino ahead again halfway into the second half, but his superb curled shot from the edge of the box hit the bar.

The match also saw the return of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who made his first Serie A appearance of the season to a standing ovation.

"It had been a long time we wanted Pogba back with us and we are happy.

"With a game every three days, we need everyone available," Allegri said.

With this win, Juventus remains unbeaten in their last 16 Turin derbies in Serie A, while Torino now sits in ninth place in the league with 31 points.

"We have caught Bologna (eighth place) and broken away from Torino. We should also say that we earned 50 points," Allegri said after the match.
