Angel Di Maria

Juventus winger Angel Di Maria has been banned for two matches for elbowing an opponent in Juventus' embarrassing 1-0 loss to Monza in the Serie A on Sunday.

The former Manchester United winger was given the marching orders five minutes before halftime for elbowing Armando Izzo.

The 34-year-old is set to miss matches against Bologna and a blockbuster trip to AC Milan after the international break.

Di Maria joined Juventus as a free agent after leaving PSG in the summer.

Juventus have endured a poor start to the 2022-23 Serie A season sitting 8th on the log with seven points behind leaders Napoli.

Di Maria is currently on international duty with Argentina as they prepare to take on Honduras in a friendly match.

Similarly, Roma coach Jose Mourinho has also been banned for one match after he entered the pitch in the 11th minute and also ''ranting at a player from the opposing team" in his team's 1-0 loss to Atalanta on Sunday.
