Seun Kuti: Singer Boasts About Number Of Assaults On Policemen [Video]

Amid the backlash trailing Seun Kuti's recent assault on a uniformed police officer, the popular singer has shared a video in which he is seen boasting that the recent incident is not his first.

In the first video that has since gone viral, the son of the late Fela Kuti confronts the policeman who he claims threatened his family.

At some point, Seun's wife steps out to act as a mediator but he lashes out at her and she withdraws.

Things become more heated when he gives the cop a blistering slap on the cheek, stunning him momentarily.

In what seems to be an act of continued defiance, the singer recorded a video after the incident and asked why he needs to offer an explanation for his action.

While alluding to what many will say about him being the son of an icon, Seun added that he did what he did because he is aware of who he is.

"You know how many police I don tear slap? Dem go say because you be Fela pikin. 

"You know say na because Jesus be God pikin he fit die for you? 

"You must know who you are before you make your move. So, I make my move from where I dey because I know who I am...", he stated.
