Sevilla held to 1-1 draw with Osasuna in La Liga

Sevilla endured a 1-1 draw with Osasuna in a La Liga Santander match played on Sunday evening.

Both teams needed the result to improve their position in the La Liga standing but it was the Sevilla side that took the lead as expected.

Isaac Romero Bernal opened the scoring for his side to make it 1-0 in the 24th minute as the home side bumped into the lead. His Sevilla teammate Marcos Acuna assisted the goal.

It finished 1-0 at the break for Sevilla. After the restart, the visitors Osasuna levelled up proceeding thanks to a goal in the 55th minute.

Ante Budimir scored to make it 1-1 following an assist from Davide Garcia.

But the home side went in search of the winning goal but as the goal wasn't forthcoming frustration grew in the Sevilla side.

This led to Suso shown a red card as Sevilla was reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute. It finished 1-1 apiece between Sevilla and Osasuna on Sunday.
