Sevilla To Face Man Utd In The Semifinals After Ocampos' Header Against Wolves

Sevilla To Face Man Utd In The Semifinals After Ocampos' Hea

Sevilla defeated Wolves 0-1 in Germany on Tuesday night in UEFA Europa League (UEL) to progress into the semifinals and would be facing Manchester United. The match was won by Lucas Ocampos after Raul Jimenez lost a penalty when Adama Traore was brought down in the 18-yard box.

Wolves went into the game being the Underdog against 5-times winner of the Europa League, Sevilla. They were defensive in the formation and build-up play usually waiting for counter-attacks while they let Sevilla take all the possession 76%.

The tactic worked well in the game when Adama Traore's pace left everyone behind and was brought down in the 18-yard box. A penalty was spotted by the referee, Raul Gimenez stepped up to take the ball, but it was effortless hit into the hands of Bono.

Wolves had loads of chances that were wasted by Gimenez, most of Sevilla chances were crosses which also were wasted by En-Nesyri until Banega's cross was met with Ocampos' glancing header, he in effect headed Sevilla into the quarterfinals. The score-line ended 1-0

In the semifinal, Sevilla will come up against another Premier League side, Manchester United. They will be happy since Man Utd will not be too defensive like Wolves but they can be sure they have more clinical players in-front of goal than Wolves.

Man Utd penalty taker, Bruno Fernandez would not also lose a penalty nor play one like Wolves' Jimenez. They can be sure that it would be a tough play for them. If they would want to extend their Europa League dominance to 6 and probably help Villarreal qualify for Champions League and Granada qualify for Europa League, they would have to double up on these recent performances. It helped them pass Wolverhampton but it might not be enough against the Red Devils.
