Brazil International Dani Alves has been transferred to a court in Spain where he will be questioned by a judge who will decide the next steps to take in the case of sexual abuse.
ESPN reports that a police source confirmed that Alves is been held on charges of sexual abuse after the former Barcelona player issued a statement to the police on Friday, though the source could not confirm whether Alves would be questioned on Friday or over the weekend.

Earlier this month, an investigation was launched over an allegation that Alves sexually assaulted a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona in December.
The UNAM Pumas player denied the allegation after the woman assaulted filed a police report against him on January 2, alleging that he touched her inappropriately under her clothes without consent during a night out at Sutton nightclub in Barcelona on December 30.
The woman explained that, after the incident, she told security what had happened and informed the local police who took witness statements.
Denying any wrongdoing, Alves, who presented himself at a local police station in Barcelona on Friday, told Spanish television channel Antenna 3 this month that he doesn't know the young lady and never sexually assaulted her at the nightclub.
"I would like to deny everything, first," he said. "I was there, in that location, with more people, having a good time.
"Everybody knows that I love to dance. Having a good time, but without invading the space of others.
"I'm very sorry, but I don't know who that young lady is, I don't know who she is, I've never seen her in my life."
