Shehu Sani Pleads Not Guilty To Fraud And Bribery Charges

 

Former representative of Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, pleaded not guilty to two counts of bribery and fraud brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Monday, at the Federal High Court in Abuja, the senator pleads not guilty to the charges, with his counsel A. Ibrahim, appealing to the court to grant the defendant bail.

The application for bail, according to the anti-graft's lead counsel, was only just presented a while ago, with the judge presiding over the case adjourning the hearing of the bail to 12 pm, explaining that the hearing was introduced to the hearing so that the prosecutor will be given time to study the application for bail.
