Shettima calls for adoption of technology to enhance Nigeria

Nigeria's Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday, called for the adoption of technology and stronger synergy among stakeholders to enhance the business environment in the country.

Shettima made the call at a meeting of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He emphasised that a robust engagement among stakeholders and adoption of relevant technology would help in addressing bottlenecks experienced by operators in the nation’s entry points and in the area of business regulations.

Speaking earlier, the Special Adviser to the President on PEBEC and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, said the Council had launched a 90-day Regulatory Reform Accelerator Action Plan.

According to her, the action-plan would deliver measurable export-focused impact for productivity and competitiveness across key sectors.

Oduwoye further stated that the plan would improve the Nigerian business environment and support the economic reforms initiatives of the President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
