Seyitan/D’banj’s Rape Saga

A lady identified as Seyitan, some weeks ago accused D’banj of raping her in December 2018, but he failed to react until Tuesday, June 16, when he filed a lawsuit, stating that the rape allegations leveled against him only ‘reopened painful scars’ of the loss of his son. D’banj, through his lawyers, Mike Ozekhome Chambers, demanded that Seyitan pays the sum of N100m within 48 hours or risk legal action

On Wednesday, journalist Kiki Mordi in a tweet said Seyitan and her mum were arrested by the ‘Koko master’. Later, Seyitan took to Twitter to deny being arrested stating that it was time she moved on. She also deleted the tweets where she made the allegations and to Twitter users’ surprise, she promoted the singer’s music effort. This generated outrages in the social media community, with celebrities also kicking against D’banj’s alleged action. Some of the celebrities who waded in are Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Rita Dominic, Banky W, among others.

Davido Unfollows Chioma, Others On Instagram

The fans of award-winning singer, Davido, were stunned on Wednesday, June 17, after they discovered that he had unfollowed everyone on his Instagram page, including his fiancee, Chioma. AllNews reports that Davido has been absent on social media platforms for the past few days after he took to social media handles to declare that he needed some cleansing and had changed his numbers too.

However, the reason he chose to unfollow everyone including the mother of his son, is yet unknown.

Davido’s Chioma Breaks Silence On Domestic Violence Rumours

There have been rumours of break up between Davido and Chioma Rowland. Online reports claim that the singer battered her and that she moved out of his house already. However, in an Instagram post, the mother of one after a few days, dispelled the rumours, stating that such was expected from blogs that need contents. Stating that she has over time ignored such rumours, the celebrity chef said it was high time she spoke, as she found the rumours disturbing. She said the ‘1 Milli’ crooner has never laid hands on her.

Also advising young ladies against staying in a domestic toxic relationship, Chioma advised them not to be quiet when they experience violence.

BBNaija’s Mercy And Tacha Thrash Out Perceived Beefs

Day 11 of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) saw two known rivals, Mercy Eke and Tacha Akide, iron out their perceived grievances. Unlike the previous days, day 11 only featured the two reality stars alongside the show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu who had them talk about the rift since the show ended. The reality stars who appear to have been at rift since Tacha was disqualified from the 4th edition of BBNaija in 2019 over her fight with Mercy, claimed they are cool in real life. Mercy recounted how much they talked on the phone, but said she is not cool with them being friends in real life but act like enemies on social media.

“Tacha is always throwing shades at me and liking shades thrown at me at times, she even calls me to tell me, All this is too much.”

Tacha also stated that she tried following Mercy on social media, but discovered that the queen of highlights had blocked her.

Naira Marley And Abuja Concert

Last Sunday, Marley flew to Abuja for a drive-in concert organised by Play Network Africa, Traffic Bar, El'Carnival and sponsored by Glenfiddich. An action that didn’t go well with many, as he flouted the COVID-19 guidelines on social distancing.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) subsequently shut down Jabi Lake Mall where the concert held and the airline that conveyed Marley was also suspended by the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

Meanwhile, Executive Jets Services Ltd that airlifted Naira Marley from Lagos to Abuja for the concert, said the controversial singer was mistaken for Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Muhammad Bello, also vowed to prosecute Marley, and persons involved in an Abuja concert held against COVID-19 guidelines.

Cubana Chief Priest’s Detention

Popular socialite and Instagram celebrity, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, was detained by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Monitoring Unit in Lagos State.

Cubana was detained after he arrived at the force headquarters Annex in Lagos, around 10am on Thursday, June 18.

Reports said the socialite who happens to be the Executive Director, Cubana Group was invited for alleged misuse of police and illegal use of weapon

A top police source who confirmed the detention said it was based on an order from the office of the Inspector General of Police.

Singer Azadus Survives COVID-19

While many still doubt the existence of COVID-19, Nigerian singer Azadus has come out to share his survivor story with the deadly disease.

In a series of posts shared on his Instagram handle, Azadus said he just got discharged, as he advised followers on precautionary measures.

"My Survivor story with Covid-19 Glory be to God I just got discharged of Covid-19. Half bread is better than puff-puff That garri in your house is far better than the good meals you won't be able to eat at the hospital My Advice, If you must go out, see everyone as that COVID-19 itself and wash your hands for 40secs at the least.

Meanwhile, if you insist that Covid-19 is not real, Covid-19 is not in Nigeria or Africa, haaaaaaaaaa well, don't be shy to ask me questions.

Radio Personality Dan Foster 'Dies Of COVID-19'

Nigerian-based American radio personality, Dan Foster died as a result of COVID-19 complications on Wednesday, June 17.

Foster also known as Big dawg has worked with a number of radio stations both local and internationally, including Cathy Hughes Radio One, Virgin Island and Mix 106.5 FM.

The quintessential media personality was a judge on the 2007 “Idols West Africa” alongside Dede Mabiaku.

Bobrisky Storms Father’s Birthday As Full Blown Man

Bobrisky stormed his father’s birthday on Monday, June 15 dressed manly in black jalabiaPhotos and videos of the effeminate at the birthday party also surfaced online and he was seen without the usual heavy makeover, wigs, and other female accessories.

This generated reactions on the social media community, with many questioning the absence of his breasts.

However, reacting to fan’s questions on his decision to look like a man to the birthday venue, Bobrisky said he respects his family. He said, “There is absolutely nothing wrong with what I am wearing. I wore a face cap and a black jalabia. I am not the celebrant and I don’t have to paint face to my dad’s house.

“I respect my family; oh you think my parents don’t see my IG?”
