Shuwa: Governor Yahaya Pays Condolence Visit To Zulum

The Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has paid a condolence visit to his Borno State counterpart, Babagana Umara Zulum.

The governor who led a powerful government delegation condoled Zulum and the people of Borno State over the demise of Late Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, the immediate past Secretary to the Borno State Government. 

The governor was represented by his Deputy, Manassah Daniel Jatau, on Thursday.

During the visit, Governor Yahaya also commiserated with the governor and victims of the Maiduguri Monday Market fire incident. 

Expressing his sympathy to the victims, the governor presented a cheque of N50 million to support the affected traders. 

The governor's delegation included the immediate past Secretary to the State Government of Gombe State, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

While reacting, Governor Zulum expressed his appreciation to the Gombe State Government and its people for the support. 

He appreciated the generous donation of the money for the fire incident victims while expressing his gratitude on behalf of the victims and their families.

He further assured that the funds would be used judiciously to provide succour to the victims.
