The number of coronavirus cases in the West African country of Sierra Leone has seen an upward surge, with the country recording 21 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 199.

Sierra Leone has recorded 43 recoveries and 11 fatalities, this is according to the country's health authorities.
The Sierra Leonean Government is set to lift its three-day lockdown on Wednesday.
