Significant points as Arsenal thrashed RC Lens in the UEFA C

Arsenal defeated Lens 6-0 in the UEFA Champions League as we witnessed an electric performance from the North London side.

The likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard were all on the score sheet to set the tone for a big win for Arsenal.

It was a night to remember for their darling home supporters who have been behind the side even in bad times as we all know.

Following Arsenal’s 6-0 win in the Champions League, Allnews. ng evaluates the significant points from the Matchday 5 contest.

Revenge Mission Attained

Arsenal exerted revenge on the French side as they welcomed the visitors at the Emirates Stadium.

RC Lens defeated Arsenal 2-1 on Match Day One although it was Arsenal who took the lead on that occasion.

However, the French side would have paid for that defeat big time on Wednesday as Arsenal put six goals past them with perfection.

Arsenal Seal Qualification

Arsenal wanted to seal qualification for the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League last time out when they faced Spanish side Sevilla.

But they weren’t able to do so with PSV Eindhoven getting the result against RC Lens in the Match Day 4 encounter.

However, with the 6-0 win at home, Arsenal recorded against Lens qualification to the knockout stages of this season's UEFA Champions League has been sealed.

While Mikel Arteta’s men also finished top of group B hoping to probably have a much easier knockout opponent.

Arsenal are title contenders

Arsenal’s exemplary performance in a night of football glory may have implied a lot of things. Firstly, they’ve revenged their defeat against RC Lens on Matchday 1.

Secondly, they’ve qualified for the knockout stages. But thirdly, the way they dispatched Lens with their movement on the ball suggests that Arsenal have got the quality to challenge for honours in Europe.

But it remains to be seen if they can make the most of it by rubbing shoulders in aplomb with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG in the latter stages of the competition.
