Simi Carpets Troll Who Accused Her Of Not Celebrating Yemi A

Singer Simi has responded to a troll who accused her of preaching one Nigeria but failing to celebrate her colleagues Yemi Alade and Davido when they achieved a feat.

Some days ago, Davido got featured on the 2022 FIFA World Cup soundtrack ‘Better Together’.

While Yemi Alade, on Sunday night at the 64th Grammy had a win when Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo won the Best Global Music Award category for her album 'Mother Nature'.

'Mother Nature' features Burna Boy, Yemi Alade, Mr. Eazi and more on different songs.

Taking to her Twitter account, Simi wondered why some people act like Nigerians are representing two 'different Nigerias.

"Way some of you be acting like we are representing 2 different Nigerias. What is wrong with you?"

A tweep was quick to allege that the singer didn't celebrate Yemi Alade and was quiet when Davido was not celebrated a few days ago.

Davido"Simi didn't bother to celebrate Yemi Alade, she didn't say a thing when some Nigerians watered-down Davido's rare feat two days ago but she is quick to talk about division among Nigerians because Wizkid lost out to another African," the tweep wrote.

Responding, Simi said she did celebrate Yemi Alade and Davido.

However, she mentioned that she could decide not to because it's her social media account and not anyone else's.

"Lol matter of fact I did. On IG, before I even opened Twitter. Davido too.

"But even if I did not? Because it's my mf account, y'all spend way too much energy on this...I said what I said. hugs."
