Simi Reacts To Asake’s Performance On The Tonight Show

Nigerian singer and songwriter Simi has praised rising star Asake for his recent performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Simi expressed her delight at Asake’s appearance on the popular U.S. late-night show, saying that his music is "so unique and very representative of us".

She went on to say that it is difficult to replicate Asake’s sound and that she loves it so much.

“Asakes performance on the Tonight Show made me smile so much. His music is so unique and very representative of us.

“Hard to mimic that and he’s on int’l stages. I love it so much,” Simi tweeted.

Asake, a YBNL/Empire signee, wowed the audience with a medley performance of his hit singles ‘Yoga’ and ‘Organise’, accompanied by The Composers, who provided live instrumentation.
