Singer Mayorkun Stuns Fans As He Shaves His Dreads

Fans have reacted after singer Mayorkun cuts off his dreads and shared pictures with no front teeth.

Mayorkun stunned his fans after he took to Instagram to share new photos of himself, but this time without his signature dreadlocks hairstyle.

Mayorkun, also known as the Mayor of Lagos, debuted his new look on Snapchat on Monday.

“Cut my hair last last,” he happily captioned the photo.

It was rumored that the DMW singer chose to cut off his signature dreadlocks hairdo, which he had for years, for the music album he is working on.

Fans who were taken aback by his new appearance, as well as the fact that it appeared as if his upper teeth had been removed, have reacted in the comments section.

Mayorkun is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and pianist born Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel. He made a cover of Davido's "The Money" single and was discovered on Twitter by the singer.

He signed with Davido's record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in 2016 and released his debut single "Eleko" through the label.

In November 2018, Mayorkun released his debut studio album, The Mayor of Lagos.
