Singer Tiwa Savage has been awarded an honorary doctorate by her alma mater, Kent University.
The degree was bestowed on the diva in recognition of her remarkable performance and role as an influence in the music industry.
Dr Savage, as she is now known, graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
She went on to win a scholarship to study Professional Music at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Tiwa was photographed in her PhD gown, flanked by family members who stood to take pictures.
