There was total compliance to the ordee as Major road in Enugu, Abakaliki, Owerri, Aba, Awka and Umuahia were deserted while banks, schools, filling stations and markets were under lock
Police stations, markets and schools were locked as Enugu residents complied fully to the sit-at-home order currently enforced by an unknown group in the South East.
Even though IPOB had canceled the Monday sit-at-home, unknown hoodlums have continued to attack defaulters in their violent enforcement of the order.
Apart from the police stations, government offices, banks and private institutions were all closed Monday morning.
A visit to major metropoles in the state from Trans-Ekulu, Abakpa, GRA, and Obiagu indicates near 100% compliance to the sit-at-home order as economic activities were closed down.
Meanwhile, apart from a handful of military patrol vans spotted at Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium heading towards Obiagu and empty police vans strategically parked at the Holy Ghost Roundabout and Ogbete main market; there is nothing more showing the presence of security officers.
Interestingly, two major police stations, Ogui Police Station and Trans Ekulu Police station were seen padlocked.
Apart from hospitals, there is no other government institution in Enugu state operating full-scale services.
