Six Injured After Truck Crashes Into Five Vehicles On Durban's Highway

Six people were injured when a truck crashed into five vehicles on the M7 on the Bellair Durban highway on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Garrith Jamieson, a spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, said emergency services were summoned to the area at 9.20 a.m.

"When paramedics arrived, they saw chaos [with one vehicle overturned].

"A quick triage was established, and six patients required medical assistance," he explained.

Ambulances and advanced life support teams were despatched in greater numbers.

"Four occupants were treated before being transported to the hospital," Jamieson explained.

He stated that traffic was seriously hampered as the Durban-bound road was blocked and there was "a large diesel spill".
