Six Killed, Village Head Abducted in Kano Bandit Attack

No fewer than six people have been killed following bandits' attack on Karfi village in Takai local government area of Kano State.

The bandits also abducted the village head, Yahya Illu during the attack.

The attack left three people injured according to reports.

This was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Kano state police command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

Kiyawa stated that the command has since dispatched officers on a recue mission.

He added that the bandits invaded the village through the Ringim forest which lies through the boardering Jigawa state.

Kiyawa said, "The police command has since dispatched a team of crime prevention police team, and we assure residents that the abducted person shall soon be rescued."
