Skeletal Remains Discovered In Ibadan Four Years After Demis

Residents of Apete in Ibadan, Oyo State were shocked after discovering the remains of a decomposing body of a man after four years in his bedroom.

According to neighbours, the deceased, whose name is still unknown as of press time, was last seen four years ago while making one of his infrequent trips from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he was residing at the time to Ibadan.

The exact cause of his death is still unknown, but locals revealed that nobody in the neighbourhood was aware of it until this week when the neighbourhood decided to enter his compound to cut the overgrown grasses that had turned it into a haven for snakes and other dangerous reptiles.

"The gate to the house was locked from the back and it was gathered that the Abokis hired to cut the grass in the deceased compound were instructed to jump in through the fence.

"However, when they did, they discovered that the car of the owner of the house was on the property and had been covered in grass," a neighbour disclosed.

According to eyewitness, after cutting the grass, they peeped through the window of the building and saw the skeleton of the decomposed corpse on a bed with a phone in his hand.

Officers of the oyo State Police Command are currently carrying out a comprehensive investigation into the incident. .
