With mounting talks on the regulation of social media by the government, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has said that it would take legal action against the National Assembly and the Northern Governors’ Forum (NGF) if it passes the social media bill.
It stated in a tweet that the citizens have a right to express themselves online, adding that it wouldn't "accept any illegal attempts" that interferes with the right of Nigerians to freely express themselves.
