Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu, and the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has alleged threatening remarks.
Ejimakor via his known Twitter handle on Sunday stated that "to demand Biafra is not an offence".
He also echoed calls for Biafra Referendum, while holding that the newly-established Eastern Security Network (ESN) is not illegal.
To the cowardly devils that have been threatening me, hear these:

To demand #Biafra is not an offense#SelfDetermination is not a crime#OneNigeria is not sacrosanct
REFERENDUM is not illegal#ESN is not illegal
Defending #IPOB is not a crime
Nonsense!
Biafran activists want the Nigerian government to put a date on an independence referendum, according to Nnabuike Nnadede, Editor of pro-Biafran media outlet Voice of Biafra a few years ago.

Nnadede had stated that the Igbo people of the region that was previously Biafra still suffer from a lack of resources and investment by the federal government.
"The suffering is too much, and that is why we've decided to say, 'Look, we cannot continue to be in Nigeria. We have suffered enough, we want the opportunity to vote to have an independence referendum,'" Nnadede had said.
He had claimed that the movement is entirely peaceful, however, and added that if the Igbo people voted against the secession of Biafra, he and his colleagues would accept the result and be "proud Nigerian citizens."
