Sound Sultan: Burna Boy Opens Up On Regret Of Not Speaking W

African Giant Burna Boy rues not speaking with late fellow artiste Sound Sultan before his passing and has expressed his regret in his latest album, Love, Damini.

Sound Sultan who was one of the pioneers of hip-hop in Nigeria died on July 11, 2021, after a battle with throat cancer and was remembered recently by those in the entertainment industry.

Giving voice to his thoughts on the last track of his recently-released album, Burna Boy admitted that he needs to show more love to people while they are still alive, mentioning Sound Sultan as an example.

“I should have talked to grandaddy before it’s too late. I should have talked to Sound Sultan more before he died. I should show people more love while they are still alive.

"I should always know the way my people feel inside. I’m trying to be a better man, I’ve been trying, I got it all but I still got my anger", excerpts from the song read.

Since its release, Love, Damini has created quite the buzz, dominating charts and sending social media users in a frenzy.

The follow-up to Twice As Tall features international acts like Popcaan, J Hus, Ed Sheeran, Khalid, J Balvin, and Kehlani.
