Nigerian singer Jaywon and other celebrities held a procession on Sunday in memory of the late Sound Sultan, paying tributes to the rapper later in the day.
Per a PM News report, the procession started at Stone Field, Festac town in Lagos, where the late star performed in music concerts and also played basketball.
The gathering made their way through Fourth Avenue to Third Avenue, then to Fifth Avenue before converging at 23 Road, Federal Housing Authority (FHA) Field to pay tributes to Sound Sultan.

Emmanuel Davids, one of the organizers, revealed that the event was meant to not only honour Sound Sultan but to reveal to the world different aspects of his life.
"He was more than an entertainer; he was also the only philanthropist in the music industry who cared about everybody", he stated.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), several celebrities said Olanrewaju Fasasi (Sound Sultan's real name) was a humble and selfless man who mentored many artists in the music industry.
Singer Mr. Johnson said of the deceased: "He was a brother. I called him 'Mr. Humility'. He made his name to become a legend in Nigeria."

On his part, Jaywon mentioned: "Everybody who knows me in Festac town knows how I started my career with Sound Sultan. He gave me a vest without knowing me, and that vest was what changed my career because everybody was talking about me back then."
