Sound Sultan: I Will Not Say Goodbye — Ramsey Nouah

Nollywood actor and director Ramsey Nouah is mourning the death of late Nigerian rapper Sound Sultan and has said that he will not say goodbye to the artiste.

Sound Sultan, one of the nation's veteran artistes and a pioneer of hip-hop in the country, died following a battle with cancer. Heis demise was announced by his kin, Dr. Kayode Fasasi, on Sunday.

Following the sad news, many Nigerians have paid tribute to the late star, with Ramsey Nouah taking to his Instagram page late Sunday to pen touching words of grief.

While mourning Sound Sultan, the actor wondered why the good ones always die young. He added that he could still hear the artiste's song about the 'motherland' ringing in his ears.

Nouah wrote, "Words fail me…hard to believe you're gone too soon. Why do the good ones always die young??? You're so down to earth….and good to a fault. You cared not just about your friends and fam but even about our nation…

"I can still hear your song about the ‘motherland’ ring in my ears. This is a hard blow! I will not say goodbye…but rather will salute you @soundsultan... till we meet, you will always be in my heart!"

Sound Sultan was buried on Sunday, June 11, 2021, according to Islamic injunction at the Marlboro Muslim cemetery in New Jersey.
