A family of four sustained serious injuries on Saturday morning when they were involved in an accident near the Rivonia off-ramp, South Africa.
At around 2:30 a.m., Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to a major car accident.
The collision occurred on the N1 south near the Rivonia Road off-ramp.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered that the family of four had suffered critical injuries. They were trapped in their car's wreckage.
They were freed with the help of the Fire and Rescue services, and then treated and stabilized on the scene by Emergency Care Practitioners before being transported by ambulances to a nearby hospital for additional final care.
According to witnesses, a fast-moving vehicle rear-ended the family vehicle. The second car’s driver was not discovered there.
The required investigation will be carried out by the South African Police Services.
