A Wreckage Of The Mini Taxi

In South Africa, an overloaded taxi collided with a stationary SUV, leaving over 40 children injured on Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

According to sources, the SUV was on its way to Verulam when the passengers discovered a corpse. The corpse was a pedestrian reportedly killed in what seems to be a hit-and-run.

The SUV came to a halt in the emergency lane, and the passengers called the authorities, which is when a white Jin Bei minibus cab ploughed into its rear.

Images from the site show a wrecked taxi and a furniture delivery car.

“The overloaded minibus veered into the oncoming lane and struck the rear of the SUV before it came to a stop,” said Reaction Unit South Africa.

The children in the overcrowded vehicle ranged in age from seven to thirteen.

According to reports, the identity of the deceased pedestrian remains unclear.

Among the children in the overcrowded Taxi, a seven-year-old girl suffered significant injuries and was transported to the hospital before first responders arrived.

According to Reaction Unit, the other children and the deceased pedestrian were brought to the hospital by ambulances on the spot.
