Gauteng police have arrested seven suspects in connection with the murder of veteran journalist and author Jeremy Gordin, who was killed in his Parkview home last month.
Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, a spokesperson for the South African Police Service (SAPS), said that through a collaboration with private security companies, Johannesburg detectives apprehended seven suspects in connection with the murder.
The first of the suspects, aged 33 to 42, was apprehended on Tuesday, April 12, while driving Gordin's vehicle in Auckland Park. Six more suspects were apprehended as a result of further investigation.
“All suspects are foreign nationals and are expected to appear before a Johannesburg magistrate soon on charges of murder, house robbery, possession of the suspected stolen property and possession of an unlicensed firearm,” said Nevhuvhulwi.
It was previously y reported, a family member found Gordin’s body. His home was locked from the outside.
