A woman’s body was found on Camps Bay beach early on Saturday and police say they are currently investigating the matter.
The corpse was discovered by a bystander, according to Western Cape police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi.
Reports stated that it is unclear if the body is that of the woman who reportedly went for a swim last weekend and wasn’t seen again.
According to 'The South African,' on Saturday, January 21, 2023, a woman wearing a white bikini and estimated to be between the ages of 45 and 50 abandoned her possessions on the beach before heading to the surf.
Around 23:00 that evening, concerned witnesses phoned the NSRI in Bakoven, who dispatched a team to the beach to investigate.
However, all their efforts to locate the woman proved abortive.
