A South African Mother Finds Son’s Dead Body With Multiple Stab Wounds On A Pathway In KwaZulu-Natal.

On Thursday morning, February 2, 2023, a 69-year-old mother found her son’s deceased body with numerous stab wounds on a footpath in Cottonlands, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

At 06:26, a request for assistance was made to a nearby security agency, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).

Members of RUSA came and were escorted along a walkway.

The 38-year-old man was discovered with multiple stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.

He was declared dead by medical personnel.

The deceased's 28-year-old companion was discovered at his residence around 30 meters away.

He had been stabbed in the stomach three times, twice in the neck, and once in the right leg.

He told officers that he and the dead had been drinking traditional beer the night before at his place.

Two unfamiliar men approached them and struck up a friendship with them.

They drank alcohol together as a group of four.

The group decided to purchase additional booze from a nearby tavern.

While the homeowner and two unknown men left, the deceased stayed in the house.

The two men pulled out knives and repeatedly attacked the victim as they walked to the tavern.

They abandoned him and returned to the house, where the deceased was stabbed.

It is unclear whether his body was thrown in the pathway or if the badly injured man fell while attempting to seek aid.

His injured friend was able to return home.

His mother called him late last night and asked him to come home.

When she discovered that he had not returned this morning, she went in quest of him, where she found out about the tragic incident.
