South African Resident Attacks Police With Feaces During Noise Complaint Call

Police officers who attended to a noise complaint in Douglasdale, Johannesburg, South Africa were attacked by a woman who excreted in front of them. 

The suspect was detained and then freed on bail, according to a statement from the police made on Friday, June 9.

A video of the event has become popular on social media. According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), it happened on May 3.

“It is disheartening to see police members being treated with such disrespect and humiliation while performing their duties. 

"I am urging the public to please work together with the police to fight one enemy, which is crime,” said Gauteng police commissioner, Lieutenant-General Elias Mawela.
