Southampton secure 3-0 FA Cup win against Watford

Southampton defeated fellow Sky Bet Championship side Watford in the English FA Cup 4th Round on Tuesday night.

Following the match at hand, the Saints were expected to win among the two sides since they're playing at home.

Despite all the attempts they had on goal amid the chances created in the match, they failed to make the most of it as it finished stalemate at the break.

At the St. Mary Stadium, they took the lead in exemplary fashion in the second period thanks to a goal from Sekou Mara in the 52nd minute.

Che Adams assisted his goal to make it 1-0 for Southampton. It soon became 2-0 as Sekou Mara grabbed his brace to net the second goal for Southampton.

He scored the goal in the 58th minute of the match. Che Adams assisted the goal. However, the home side wasn't yet done as the goal kept on coming.

This time Che Adams scored to get his name on the score sheet in the 76th minute. That was Southampton's third goal in the match thanks to an assist from Joe Rothwell.

It finished 3-0 as Southampton overcame visiting side Watford in the FA Cup clash.
