Spanish media debunks rumours of Xavi's Barcelona U-turn 

According to a report by Mundo Deportivo, one of Spain's highly respected sports newspapers, Barcelona coach Xavi will not depart from the Catalan club.

Former superstar player at the club, Xavi was said to be on his way out but made a U-turn on that decision. 

However multiple outlets reported on Friday that Xavi was certainly on his way out of the Catalan bench as early as the ongoing week after disagreements with the club heirachy.

Xavi is said to be unhappy at the club's unwilingness to back him in the summer transfer window even as rivals Real Madrid look set to welcome Kylian Mbappe in the summer. 

Mundo Deportivo however inssts that Xavi is satified with the assurances he got from club president, Joan Laporta and Sporting director, Deco, who was Xavi's teammate whilst as players at the club. 

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Xavi knew nothing of the president’s desire to sack him after the recent fallout and woke up the the news in the Spanish media himself.

The only call between Laporta and Xavi in recent hours, in fact, is said to be the president’s congratulatory message after the win over Almeria.
