'Spider-Man 3' Most Ambitious Superhero Movie — Tom Holland

'Spider-Man 3' Most Ambitious Superhero Movie — Tom Hollan

Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have something amazing in store for them as teased by Spider-Man star Tom Holland.

The still-untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel commenced filming recently and there have been many unconfirmed reports that actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield who played the superhero previously will return to reprise their roles in it, alongside their love interests, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) and Michelle "MJ" Jones (Zendaya).

Now, Holland has said that he has never seen a standalone superhero film like the third Marvel Spider-Man movie, calling it "ambitious" and "impressive".

Speaking on Variety's Award Circuit podcast recently, the movie star said, "I can say that it's the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made. You sit down and you read the script and you see what they are trying to do and they are succeeding. It's really impressive. I've never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like it. And I'm just, you know, again that lucky little sh*t who happens to be Spider-Man in it ... I'm just as excited as everyone else to see it, let alone be a part of it."

Holland's words seem to confirm that the film will have a scale the likes of which has never been seen before and this means many surprising appearances by notable characters in the MCU. We sure hope it lives up to the hype.

Since his debut as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland has been called the best screen depiction of the superhero. It has also catapulted him to fame, gaining him worldwide recognition while opening the door to several other Hollywood projects.

He was cast as Nathan Drake in the upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular video game series Uncharted, alongside action star Mark Wahlberg.
