Sport Writers Urged To Put Ondo State First

Sports Writers in Ondo State have been advised to prioritize the interest of the Sunshine State in the course of discharging their duties. 

Otunba Dele Ajayi, the Chairman of the Football Association in the State, gave this advise at the weekend while receiving members and new Executive of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ondo State Chapter.

Ajayi said sports Writers should use their journalistic strength to develop and engender grassroots football development in the state.

The NFF board member revealed that there were times that he and his team had to make several sacrifices for the growth of the round leather game.

“Always put this state first,this state is number one.. So the development of football should be collective effort,” he said.

The state FA chairman said the already existing relationship with the members of the association in the state would be sustained to further enhance the development of the sport.

Ajayi also used the opportunity to solicit more supports for Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens as the new football season is around the corner.

Earlier, the chairman of SWAN in the state, Segun Giwa said sports writers in the state will sustain the existing healthy relationship with all stakeholders for growth of football and other sports.
