State governors are scheduled to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the issue of insecurity in the country.
The meeting was spurred by the recent killing of 43 rice farmers in the Zabarmari community in Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents.
In a missive made available to the media, the Chairman of Nigeria's Governors' Forum (NGF), Kayode Fayemi, said that the reforms that will birth a new Police Force will also be discussed.
The communique stated that there is a need for the officers to resume duties, as they have been "not been functioning to full capacity" since the #EndSARS protests.

It stated, “As an immediate to medium-term measure, members agreed to pay close attention to the conduct of police officers across the country in order to get them and other internal security operatives fully back to work as they have not been functioning to full capacity since the EndSARS protests with the attendant security exposure to the safety of lives and properties of the ordinary citizens.”
