Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has opined that one should give thanks to God for everything, no matter how small.
In a video she posted on her Instagram page on Monday afternoon, the talented thespian recounted how a man and his son playing music beside a mall to raise money to pay rent and bills reminded her of the essence of gratitude.
“I came out to buy stuff in the mall and as I was driving out of one of the places I parked I saw a man and his son, they were playing music.
“And they had this sign beside them help us pay rent and bills we need your help.
"They were so good, so talented. The music was good,” Damasus said.
The 44-year-old actress said that this caused her to reflect and realise how much she had been taking a lot of things for granted.
“I should be grateful that I have a roof over my head, I have food to eat, I have clothes to wear.
“There are so many things that I complain about.
"I want to do this, there is this project I want to do, I want to buy this, I want to get this.
“I just sometimes realise that I take a lot of things in life for granted and I'm learning every day to be grateful even for the little things, they matter.
“To pay your rent, your bills, gas for your car and things like that. don't take it for granted, trust me.
"There are people who need help, who pray to be you,” she said
