Sterling's Brace Inspires Chelsea's First Premier League Win

Raheem Sterling's brace inspired Chelsea to earn their first Premier League win of the season under the reign of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues won 3-0 against newcomers Luton Town at Stamford Bridge on Friday night, bouncing back from their 3-1 loss at West Ham last weekend.

Sterling put Chelsea ahead in the 17th minute when he picked up the ball from the right-hand side and jinked his way through three players before firing into the bottom corner.

Chelsea then extended their lead through Sterling in the 67th minute when he got on the end of an inch-perfect cross from Malo Gusto before stroking his effort home from close range.

The England winger was involved again as Chelsea got their third in the 75th minute, sending a low cross into the area for Nicolas Jackson to tap in his first goal for the club.

The result moves the Blues to eighth position on the log, with four points from three games.

They will now look to build form when they face AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, before they play host to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on September 2.
