The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,673.00 deals on Monday, March 1st, 2021, higher than the 4,465.00  deals on Friday, February 26th, 2021. The volume reached 543,986,690.00 units at the close of the market on Monday higher than the 507,254,782.00 units it closed with on Friday.

The value of trades recorded on Monday was N1,888,199,436.73 with the All-Share Index of 39,931.63 an increase of 0.33% (131.74) over Friday's value of 39,799.89

The stock market also ended with equity of over N20.89 trillion capitalization on Monday lower than the N20.82 trillion recorded on Friday

Top Five Gainers
UACN
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.5 kobo to close trading at N8 per share after opening the trading with N7.5 per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

AIICO was second on the table, as its stock price gained NGN0.006 kobo to close the market with N1.21 kobo per share, having started trading with N1.15 kobo per share.

Veritas was the third top gainer, as its stock price closed the market with NGN0.01 kobo gain to move from the opening price of N0.2 kobo per share to N0.21 kobo per share.

Bua Cement takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN2.75 kobo gain to end trading at N74.75 kobo per share from the opening share price of N72 per share.

Neimeth was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.05 kobo to close trading at N1.88 kobo per share, having opened trade at N1.83 per share.

Top Five Losers
NASCON
tops the loser's list today Monday, March 1st, 2021, having begun trading at NGN16.05 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-1.6 kobo to close at NGN14.45 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Champion was second on the chart after closing at NGN2.27 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN2.52 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.25 kobo.

PZ's share price fell by NGN-0.05 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN5.3 kobo per share, lower than the NGN4.8 kobo per share it opened with.

Lasaco also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.11 to close trading at NGN1.12 kobo per share, below the NGN1.23 per share it opened with.

Sovrenins completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with NGN0.25 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.02 kobo from the NGN0.27 kobo per share it opened trading with.

AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Monday 1st March 2021 is Wema Bank which traded a volume of 369.68 million units worth over N240.32 million.

Zenith Bank is the second on the list with a volume of 20.62 million units worth NGN529.07 million.

Third On the list is Transcorp having traded with 13.02 million units worth over NGN11.48 Million.

UBA was fourth on the most traded stock list today, closing the market with over 11.93 million units traded at NGN98.65 million.

UCAP completes the top five list with 11.33 million units traded at NGN69.2 Million.
