Stock Market: Guinness Makes Gainers List As Fluctuation Con

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 5,040.00 deals on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021, lower than the 5,321.00 deals on Monday, February 15th, 2021. The volume reached 356,430,619.00 units at the close of the market on Tuesday higher than the 206,243,282.00 units it closed with on Monday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was NGN5,762,553,059.00 with the All-Share Index of 40,494.35 an increase of -0.19% (-77.32) over Monday’s value of 40,571.67

The stock market also ended with equity of over N21.18 trillion capitalisation on Tuesday lower than the N21.225 trillion equity recorded on Monday.

Top Five Gainers

led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.09 to close trading at N1.06 kobo per share after opening the trading with N0.97 per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Ardova was second on the table, as its stock price gained NGN1.5 kobo to close the market with N18.05  kobo per share, having started trading today with N16.55 kobo per share.

MultiVerse was the third top gainer, as its stock price closed the market with NGN0.02 kobo gain to move from the opening price of N0.24 kobo per share to N0.26 kobo per share.

Wema Bank takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN0.65 kobo gain to end trading at N0.7 kobo per share from the opening share price of N0.05 kobo per share.

Guinness was last on the list after its share price gained NGN1.5 kobo to close trading at N22 per share, having opened trade at N20.5 per share.

Top Five Losers
UPDC tops the loser list today Tuesday, Feb 16th 2021, having begun trading at NGN6 per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.6 kobo to close at NGN5.4 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Cornerstone was second on the chart after closing at NGN0.54 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN0.6 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-0.06 kobo.

CHI's share price fell by NGN-0.04 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN0.38 kobo per share, lower than the NGN0.42 kobo per share it opened with.

Prestige also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.04 kobo to close trading at NGN0.43 kobo per share, below the NGN0.47 kobo per share it opened with.

WAPIC completed the top five losers chart after it closed trading with NGN0.55 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.05 kobo from the NGN0.6 kobo per share it opened trading with.

Top Five Trades
AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Tuesday is GT Bank, which traded a volume of 46.16 Million units worth over N1.43 Billion.

FBN Holdings was the second on the list with a volume of over 35.3 million units worth NGN256.89 million.

Third On the list was Dangote Sugar, having traded this time with 26.82 million units worth NGN510.53 Million.

Zenith Bank was fourth on the most traded stock list, closing the market with over 25.99 million units traded at NGN652.65 million.

Transcorp completes the top five list with over 25.34 million units traded at NGN25.196 Million.
