Stock Market Today: Cap, Wapic Insurance Top Gainers With 10

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 3,937.00 deals on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, lower than the 4,299.00 deals on Monday, March 22nd, 2021. The volume reached 410,386,365 units at the close of the market on Tuesday higher than the 277,235,456.00 units it closed with on Monday.

The value of trades recorded on Tuesday was N5,984,629,207.98 with the All-Share Index of 38,704.97 a decrease of -0.05% or -17.9 over Monday's value of 38,722.87

The stock market also ended with an equity cap of N20.25 trillion capitalization on Tuesday lower than the N20.26 trillion recorded on Monday

Top Five Gainers
CAP
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N2.00 to close trading at N22.00 kobo per share after opening the trading with N20.00 kobo per share indicating 10.00 percent change, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Wapic was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN0.05 kobo to close the market with N0.55 kobo per share, having started trading with N0.50 kobo per share that also indicates a 10.00 percent change equivalent to CAP.

NPF Microfinance Bank been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN1.77 kobo per share from the opening price of N1.61 kobo per share which represents an increase of N0.16 kobo gain indicating a 9.94% change in the share price.

Julius Berger takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with an NGN1.85 kobo gain, 9.89% change in the share price to end trading at N20.55 kobo per share from the opening share price of N18.70 kobo per share.

FTN Cocoa was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.04 kobo a change of 9.30% to close trading at N5.40 kobo per share, having opened trade at N5.10 per share.

Feeds tops the decliners' list today Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, having begun trading at NGN2.10 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.20 kobo indicating a -9.52% change to close at NGN1.90 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Chams was second on the chart after closing at NGN0.21 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN0.23 kobo per share; this represents a change of -8.70% which represents NGN-0.02 kobo.

Cornerstone also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.04 kobo, -6.67% change in its market activity to close trading at NGN0.56 kobo per share, below the NGN0.60 kobo per share it opened with.

Champion Breweries share price fell by NGN-0.14 kobo a percentage change of -6.25%, as its share price closed trading at NGN2.10 kobo per share, lower than the NGN2.24 kobo per share it opened with.

Eco Bank completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN4.80 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.30 kobo, a drop of -5.89% in its market activity, from the NGN5.10 kobo per share it opened trading with.

AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Tuesday 23rd March 2021 is Dangote Sugar which traded a volume of over 107.08 million units worth over N1.80 billion.

UBN is the second on the list with a volume of 78.54 million units worth NGN416.27 billion.

Third On the list is Transcorp Hotels having traded with 31.57 million units worth over N25.26 million.

GTBank was fourth on the most traded stock market list today, closing the market with over N26.83 million units traded at over NGN832.28 million.

Custodian completes the top five list with over 24.73 million units traded at over NGN148.68 Million.
