Stock Market Today: Eterna Drops On Gainers Chart As Trade V

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market closed with 4,311.00 deals on Friday, March 19th, 2021, higher than the 4,040.00 deals on Thursday, March 18th, 2021. The volume reached 290,615,950.00 units at the close of the market on Friday lower than the 1,468,421,633.00 units it closed with on Thursday.

The value of trades recorded on Friday was N4,017,766,192.15 with the All-Share Index of 38,382.39 a decrease of -1.37% (-532.45) over Thursday's value of 38,914.84

The stock market also ended with an equity cap of N20.08 trillion capitalization on Friday lower than the N20.36 trillion recorded on Thursday

Top Five Gainers
Ikeja Hotel
led the top gainers' chart after its stock price gained N0.10 to close trading at N1.10 kobo per share after opening the trading with N1.00 kobo per share, according to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) market data seen by AllNews.

Eterna was second on the chart, as its stock price gained NGN0.50 kobo to close the market with N5.58 kobo per share, having started trading with N5.08 kobo per share.

United Capital been third on the gainers' list closed the market with NGN5.10 kobo per share from the opening price of N4.75 kobo per share which represents an increase of N0.35 kobo gain in the share price.

UBN takes the fourth spot, having closed the market with NGN5.05 kobo gain to end trading at N5.30 kobo per share from the opening share price of N0.25 kobo per share.

Africa Prudential was last on the list after its share price gained NGN0.25 kobo to close trading at N5.35 kobo per share, having opened trade at N5.10 per share.

Top Five Losersoando
Lasaco Assurance
tops the decliners' list today Friday, March 19th, 2021, having begun trading at NGN1.30 kobo per share, only to drop in price by NGN-0.09 kobo to close at NGN1.21 kobo per share at the end of trading.

Bua Cement was second on the chart after closing at NGN69.95 kobo per share from its opening trade price of NGN74.75 kobo per share; this represents a drop of NGN-4.8 kobo.

Neimeth also recorded a drop in its share price as it declined by NGN-0.12 kobo to close trading at NGN1.78 kobo per share, below the NGN1.90 kobo per share it opened with.

Courtville share price fell by NGN-0.01 kobo as its share price closed trading at NGN0.20 kobo per share, lower than the NGN0.21 kobo per share it opened with.

Oando completed the top five decliners chart after it closed trading with NGN3.05 kobo per share, losing NGN-0.14 kobo from the NGN3.19 kobo per share it opened trading with.

AllNews learnt that the top trade in the stock market for Friday 19th March 2021 is Zenith Bank which traded a volume of 66.10 million units worth over N1.48 billion.

Unity Bank is the second on the list with a volume of over 51.81 million units worth NGN37.31 million.

Third On the list is GTbank having traded with 39.39 million units worth N1.23 billion.

AIICO was fourth on the most traded stock market list today, closing the market with over N26.84 million units traded at over NGN33.22 million.

Access Bank completes the top five list with 12.70 million units traded at over NGN101.07 Million.
